Position Overview
A mid-size personal injury trial law firm in Woodland Hills is looking for a trial attorney with at least 5 years of experience in personal injury law, whether on the Plaintiff or Defense side. This person will be expected to handle 30-50 files involving personal injury cases (motor vehicle accidents, premises liability, etc.), take depositions, handle mediations, arbitrations and trials. This is an on-site position in Woodland Hills, CA.

Each attorney is teamed up with a dedicated paralegal and support staff. Each team will be required to participate in round table discussions and case reviews on a regular basis

Key Responsibilities

Represent clients in court proceedings, including pre-trial hearings, trials, and appeals
Prepare legal briefs and arguments for court proceedings
Advise clients on legal matters and provide guidance on potential outcomes
Research and analyze legal issues to develop case strategies
Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients

Qualifications

Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school
Active license to practice law in the state of CA
At least 5 years of experience as an attorney
Participation in at least 2 trials
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
