We are seeking an experienced Civil Defense Attorney to join our team in Towson, MD. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience handling general liability, insurance coverage, commercial litigation, surety, construction defect, or property damage matters and be ready to take on a diverse caseload. Defend clients in matters involving general liability, commercial litigation, property damage, and related insurance claims
Handle all phases of litigation, including pleadings, discovery, depositions, motion practice, and trial preparation
Draft and argue motions in state and federal court
Conduct legal research and write high-quality legal memoranda and briefs
Communicate with clients, insurance adjusters, and opposing counsel
Provide strategic counsel and case assessments throughout the litigation process
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
Active license to practice law in Maryland
Minimum of 2 years of experience in general liability, insurance coverage, commercial litigation, surety, construction defect, or property damage
Strong written and oral advocacy skills
Ability to handle a caseload independently while collaborating with a team
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
