Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Estate Planning Attorney with a minimum of two years of experience advising high-net-worth individuals and families. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in advanced estate planning techniques, exceptional attention to detail, and a client-first mindset. This is an opportunity to contribute meaningfully to a thriving private client practice with high expectations for excellence and integrity.
Key Responsibilities
Draft and review complex estate planning instruments, including wills, revocable and irrevocable trusts, powers of attorney, and advanced healthcare directives
Design and implement sophisticated wealth transfer and tax planning strategies, including GRATs, SLATs, IDGTs, ILITs, and charitable planning vehicles
Advise clients on gift, estate, and generation-skipping transfer tax implications
Manage probate and trust administration for substantial estates
Collaborate with financial advisors, CPAs, and other professionals to ensure cohesive planning
Stay current on changes in tax and trust laws affecting high-net-worth individuals
Qualifications
JD from an accredited law school and active license to practice in Texas
Minimum 2 years of experience in estate planning for high-net-worth individuals and families
Strong drafting and analytical skills with a deep understanding of complex trust structures and tax planning
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
LL.M. in Taxation or Estate Planning preferred, but not required
